Alyssa Walker

Alyssa serves as an Admissionss Coordinator at Bright Path, where she walks alongside families as a trusted guide while they navigate care for their teen. She brings empathy to every conversation and clarity to each next step, helping families feel seen, informed, and supported during what is often a vulnerable time.

Alyssa earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Human Services from Appalachian State University. Across multiple modalities and facilities, she gained extensive experience in child and adolescent behavioral health and became acutely aware of how challenging and detrimental the operational side of mental health care can be for families in crisis.

Over the past decade, she has worked in residential treatment, applied behavior analysis, and eventually as the lead of an elementary day treatment program in Western North Carolina, developing a deep respect for the resilience of the families she serves.

At Bright Path, Alyssa approaches admissions with warmth and presence, holding space for heavy emotions while thoughtfully guiding families from their first contact through admission day.

She is committed to changing the narrative of what asking for help looks like and is honored to support families at the beginning of their healing journey.Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys rock climbing and wood burning!
