Take a Tour of Our Teen Mental Health Treatment Facilities
Space Designed with Teens in Mind

Specialized Program Areas
Creative arts spaces offer materials for self-portraits, mask-making, body maps, and expressive therapy projects. Teens process emotions through multiple mediums when verbal expression feels difficult or impossible.
Outdoor horticulture therapy areas allow hands-on engagement with nature. Teens plant seeds, nurture growth, and practice grounding techniques while learning metaphors about patience, care, and recovery.
Academic support zones include quiet homework spaces with organizational tools and access to technology. Education liaisons coordinate with schools from these dedicated areas, maintaining academic continuity during intensive treatment.

Common Areas
Lunch and social spaces provide supervised settings where teens build peer connections during meal times. These areas blend structure with natural interaction, allowing teens to practice
interpersonal skills learned in therapy groups. Both facilities maintain separate physical spaces for middle school (Meadow) and high school (Summit) tracks. This separation ensures age-appropriate environments that match developmental needs and attention spans.

Virtual IOP Capabilities
Both locations support virtual IOP (VIOP) programming through dedicated technology infrastructure. Teens throughout North Carolina access the same quality treatment via secure video platforms with breakout room capabilities and digital materials.
