LCMHCA
Jalecia is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and the Regional Clinical Director at Bright Path. She began her career with the organization as a graduate student intern and has since played an integral role in shaping the program’s growth and clinical direction.
Jalecia earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from East Carolina University, completing a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with a concentration in science and a Master’s in Clinical Counseling focused on mental health and substance use.
She is passionate about expanding access to intensive, high‑quality mental health care for adolescents. Jalecia’s approach to clinical leadership is rooted in meeting each teen exactly where they are.
As someone who once described herself as a “cactus”—a teen who looked prickly on the outside but was really just protecting something soft and overwhelmed underneath—she understands the importance of patience, presence, and genuine connection. This insight guides the way she develops programming and supports clinical teams, ensuring that every teen receives care that honors their boundaries, their pace, and their unique way of showing up in the world.
Outside of work, Jalecia enjoys traveling and relaxing with her dogs while watching Supernatural.
