Indigo earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at East Carolina University.
Their graduate training first brought them to Bright Path as an intern — and after experiencing the meaningful work and supportive community, Indigo chose to stay on as a Mental Health Technician.
What Indigo values most about working at Bright Path is the opportunity to show up authentically and create space for teens to do the same. They find it deeply powerful to witness adolescents make meaningful progress in just a few weeks, a reflection of the impact that compassionate, developmentally attuned mental health care can have. Indigo believes Bright Path is special because it meets teens exactly where they are, honoring their individuality and supporting them as their full, authentic selves.
Indigo is especially passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent youth and is committed to helping families better understand and advocate for their children. Their approach is affirming, strengths‑based, and grounded in the belief that every young person deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered.
