Abigail Krieck

Abigail believes that the moment a family reaches out for help is one of the most vulnerable — and most important — moments in their lives. Her work is built around making sure they never have to navigate it alone.

As Director of Strategic Impact & Outreach, Abigail oversees the full arc of a family's experience at Bright Path — from the very first point of contact, long before they've ever heard the name "Bright Path," all the way through aftercare coordination when programming ends. Support shouldn't start at admission and stop at discharge. It should be woven into every step of the journey.

Her path here wasn't a straight line. Abigail holds a BA in Conflict Resolution and a BS in Criminal Law, and studied as a fellow at Mahidol University's School of Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution in Bangkok, Thailand.

She left with a conviction that the most powerful place to disrupt systemic conflict is early — through social-emotional intervention, before patterns have a chance to take hold.

That brought her to working with kids and teens, and over a decade ago, to mental health specifically, when she decided she wanted to be part of the solution to teen suicide. That decision is still the through line in everything she does at Bright Path.
