Kye'Reiona "Kye" Sibley

MS

Kye’Reiona “Kye” earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fayetteville State University and later completed her master’s degree in Developmental Psychology, concentrating in Child and Adolescent Development, from Walden University. She discovered Bright Path while searching for psychology roles specifically focused on supporting teenagers — a population she has long been passionate about.

Before joining Bright Path, Kye gained rich and varied experience working in ABA therapy, early childhood daycare centers, and Durham Public Schools, where she taught 9th grade English and later 6th grade ELA. These roles strengthened her belief in the importance of compassionate, developmentally informed care for youth.

Kye enjoys working at Bright Path because it allows her to deepen her knowledge of the field while gaining the experience she needs to grow into the kind of therapist she once needed — someone teens and children can trust and cherish. She loves the inclusivity and warmth Bright Path offers, and she appreciates being part of a team that genuinely cares about both the work they do and the teens they serve.

She looks forward to coming to work each day knowing she is surrounded by people committed to meaningful, heart-centered care.Professionally, Kye’s long‑term goal is to return to Bright Path as an intern in 2028 and begin earning the hours required to become a psychotherapist for the organization.

In the meantime, she is dedicated to making families feel supported, understood, and cared for throughout the PHP and IOP programs in her role as Teen Care Advocate and Aftercare Coordinator. She is passionate about mental health in all its dimensions and loves caring for young people.

Outside of work, Kye can often be found playing The Sims for hours without a break, watching thriller movies and TV shows, spoiling her beloved pup, or going out for food and new adventures with her partner.
