Mekalia Hunter

Mekaila holds both a B.S. in Psychology and an M.S. in Psychology. She has been working with children since she was 17, and her passion for mental health began to take shape in her early twenties. Over the years, her experiences across behavioral health and ABA therapy helped her clarify where her heart truly is: supporting teens through meaningful, compassionate mental health care.

At Bright Path, Mekaila feels genuinely at home. She appreciates being part of a team where every staff member — regardless of role — is treated as an equal, and where everyone works collectively to ensure teens receive the highest quality care.

For her, the collaborative environment and shared commitment to the well‑being of adolescents make Bright Path a truly special place to work.

Professionally, Mekaila aspires to become a family therapist specializing in teen eating disorders. She is deeply passionate about advocacy, recovery, and personal growth, and she is committed to helping young people and their families navigate healing with support, understanding, and hope.
