Cate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from North Carolina State University, where she served as an undergraduate research assistant and completed an Honors Thesis on the correlates of resilience among undergraduates.
Cate has experience working with teens and adolescents across a variety of mental health settings, supporting youth with diverse needs. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Cate brings a warm, collaborative style to her work with adolescents. She strives to build genuine, trusting relationships and create a space where teens feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and goals. She is committed to honoring each young person’s individuality and helping them develop confidence, insight, and practical tools for navigating life’s challenges.
